October Adventure Edit

October is already over half way through and wow this month has gone by fast! So many exciting things have happened already this month...

I'm planning a Christmas / End of Year celebration. I am wanting to collaborate with likeminded brands, so if you have any recommendations or if you manage a brand please reach out!

At the end of this month I will be attending the Outdoors Queensland award ceremony where I am nominated as a finalist for the Queensland Government Outdoor Volunteer Award!

Thank you to everyone who voted in the People's Choice Award I am so grateful for the support!

Rainy Adventure Recommendations

A little rain doesn't have to mean staying indoors! Grab the raincoats, pull on the gumboots and head outside for a little muddy adventure.

Here are four beautiful Sunshine Coast walks to explore when the weather is a little drizzly.

  • 🌿 Yaroomba Bushland: A peaceful bushland escape with a raised broadwalk, plenty of greenery and it's dog friendly too!

  • 🌳 Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve: Wander through lush rainforest, enjoy the discovery centre, playground and cafe too. Perfect for spotting wildlife such a pademelons.

  • 💦 Buderim Forest Park: A magical rainforest adventure in the middle of Buderim and Serenity Falls will be looking great after all of this rain.

  • 🍃 Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden: Explore the Whipbird Playspace and let the kids get muddy in the natural playground. There's also lots of shelters that you can hide under if you need.

Hiking Meet Ups

I have just created three new hiking meet-ups for local mums and kids on the Sunshine Coast. All of the details are posted in the private Facebook Group on the Events Tab.

You can RSVP to the event and then Facebook will send you a reminder prior to the event (such a god send for those busy weeks!)

ABC Feature of Mums Who Hike

In the most exciting news... did you see the ABC feature on Mums Who Hike?!

OMG I cannot believe that this little hiking group was shown on the National ABC news on Friday night! There was also two radio features and a fantastic article written about the group, I have linked them all below for you to read! Ahhhh so exciting!
